Kozueko Morimoto launched manga about rookie female detective in 2008
This year's 18th issue of Shueisha's You magazine has announced on Wednesday that a live-action television adaptation of Deka Wanko (Detective Puppy), the current manga from Gokusen creator Kozueko Morimoto, has been green-lit.
The original suspense drama manga follows Ichiko "Wanko" Hanamori, a rookie detective, as she solves "outlandish and (probably) real case files" with her dog-like sense of smell. Morimoto launched the manga in April of 2008, and Shueisha is publishing the sixth book volume for the manga this month.
