EigoManga Launches Haitian Earthquake Relief Effort
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The comic book publishing studio EigoMANGA has launched a Haitian Earthquake Relief fund to benefit the victims of the earthquake. With every donation through the website of US$5 or more, donators will receive a free electronic copy of the 220-page graphic novel anthology Sakura Pakk versus Rumble Pak. The electronic version can be viewed on mobile devices, computers and video game consoles. All donations will go to support the Doctors Without Borders relief effort in Haiti.
The boys-love manga publishing company Yaoi Generation also donated all proceeds from its sales on its website from January 20-31 to the American Red Cross: Haiti Relief. The online game Hello Kitty Online hosted a "Food for Friends 2" event from January 21-30. Players from select countries could accumulate points that would then be translated into real money and donated to Doctors Without Borders to benefit the relief effort in Haiti.
