Japan's Animation TV Ranking, December 21-27

The 19th live-action film based on Juzo Yamasaki's Tsuri Baka Nisshi ("Diary of a Fishing Fool") manga earned 12.4 rating when it aired at 19:55 on December 23. Tsuri Baka Nisshi 20: Final (Free and Easy 20: Final), the last film in this venerable institution among salaryman fans, opened at #6 at at the Japanese box office during the December 26-27 weekend.
The live-action drama series based on Satoru Makimura's Real Clothes shōjo fashion manga came in with a 9.3 rating in its December 22 finale at 22:00.
Hana Yori Dango Final, Yasuharu Ishii's live-action 2008 film finale based on Yōko Kamio's Boys Over Flowers (Hana Yori Dango) shōjo romantic comedy manga, ran on Christmas Eve at 9:43 p.m. and garnered a 9.0 rating.
Liar Game Season 2, the sequel to the live-action television adaptation of Shinobu Kaitani's Liar Game psychological thriller manga, ran on December 22 at 9:00 p.m. and earned a 8.5 rating.
One Piece: Dead End no Bōken, the fourth film inspired by Eiichiro Oda's One Piece pirate manga, re-aired on December 26 at 9:55 a.m. with a 6.3 rating.
The second live-action film based on Ai Yazawa's NANA manga also re-aired on December 23 at 11:40 p.m. and gained a 4.4 rating.
The 2008 live-action film adaptation of Hinako Ashihara's Suna-dokei (Sand Chronicles) romance manga ran on December 24 at 12:10 a.m. with a 3.3 rating.
