Kurokami's U.S. BD Release to Have English Dub Only (Update 2)
posted on by Egan Loo
Bandai Entertainment will ship the first bilingual DVD volume and the first English-dub-only Blu-ray Disc (BD) volume of the Kurokami television anime series on February 9. The first DVD will contain six episodes with both English and Japanese soundtracks, as well as English subtitles. However, the first BD will contain four episodes with the English soundtrack, but not the Japanese soundtrack.
Kurokami was the first anime to premiere on television in three countries (Japan, South Korea, the United States) within 24 hours of each other. The DVDs were originally slated to launch with a two-disc set this past June before being revised and rescheduled for next February. North America and Japan share the same BD region; thus, Japanese BD players can play North American discs, and vice-versa.

Update: Bandai Visual's Kurokami BD volumes in Japan include Japanese, English, and Korean soundtracks, as well as Japanese subtitles (but not English subtitles). Thanks, darkchibi07.
Update 2: Bandai Entertainment tells ANN, "The license for the Japanese audio was not granted for our Blu-Ray release of Kurokami."
