Hyde & K.A.Z.'s Vamps Band to Appear at Otakon

The Otakon convention has announced that Vamps, the rock band formed by L'Arc~en~Ciel vocalist HYDE and Oblivion Dust guitarist K.A.Z., will appear at the July 17-19 event in Baltimore, Maryland. The two musical artists had already made plans to tour the United States in July and August, including a stop at Baltimore on July 16. They will appear at a panel and an autograph session at Otakon on July 17, and they will distribute priority access passes for those appearances to Otakon members who attend their Thursday concert.
As part of L'Arc-en-Ciel, HYDE sang the theme songs for Fullmetal Alchemist, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Rurouni Kenshin, and other anime. As a solo artist, he also sang the theme songs for Blood+ and the live-action Last Quarter film.
The convention also announced that Biker Girl and Rock and Roll Love artist Misako Rocks! and American voice actor Travis Willingham will attend the event as guests.
