Latest film from Hayao Miyazaki, Ghibli to open in Spain on April 24, in U.S. in August
The Spanish film distributor Aurum has posted the Spanish-language trailer for Hayao Miyazaki's Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea children's film. The story follows an ordinary boy named Sosuke and his friendship with Ponyo, a goldfish who wishes to be human. The film will open in Spain on April 24.
The film opened in France on April 8, and will open in the United States on August 14. The film debuted in Japan last July and became the country's highest grossing film in 2008. It won the Animation of the Year honor from both the 32nd Annual Japan Academy Prizes and the 8th Annual Tokyo Anime Awards.
