Animax-Asia To Simulcast Tears to Tiara (Updated)

Update: Animax Asia has contacted Anime News Network to inform us that they are currently finalizing their broadcast plans and that the broadcast plans reproduced below, from their website, are incorrect.
Animax Asia, the English language version of the Japanese station Animax airing in South East Asia and owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment, has announcedthat it will simulcast Tears to Tiara with its April 2 Japanese premiere. Animax calls this a "a new world record for the fastest broadcast of a new anime series outside Japan." Tears to Tiara will be aired at 01:30 in Tokyo and simultaneously at 00:30 Singapore Standard Time in Singapore.
The anime is an adaptation of Leaf's (To Heart, Utawarerumono) Tears to Tiara fantasy role-playing game. Tomoki Kobayashi (Ichigo 100%, sola, Utawarerumono) directs, animation is produced by the WHITE FOX anime studio. Touko Machida (Allison & Lillia, Lucky Star, Ramen Fighter Miki) is overseeing the scripts, and Tōru Ohkawa, Yūko Gotō, and Makoto Ishii lead the cast.
In addition to the anime adaptation, a manga adaptation of Tear to Tiara will begin serialization in the April issue of Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive magazine, due out on February 27.
