Among the first Americans to perform on stage at Tokyo's otaku shopping district
Not-So-Daily Link of the Day: Akibanana, a website that covers Tokyo's Akihabara otaku shopping district in three languages, has posted video and picture coverage of American singer Stephanie Yanez's performance on a local stage on November 28. Stephanie Yanez performed the Sailor Moon opening theme "Moonlight Densetsu," followed by the "The Stars and You" and "Sakura in Mitaka" songs from her latest album. Yanez won the AX Idol competition in Anime Expo 2004 in California.
A Canadian, Catherine St. Onge, won Jupiter Telecommunications and the Animax anime television channel's 2nd All-Japan Anison Grand Prix singing contest in September.
