Gonzo to Stream Linebarrels of Iron on Crunchyroll Today
posted on by Egan Loo
The video-sharing website Crunchyroll and GDH, the corporate parent of the Gonzo anime studio, have announced that Gonzo's Linebarrels of Iron robot anime series will be streamed and sold on Crunchyroll at 12:45 p.m. PT today — two hours after it makes its broadcast premiere in Japan. The story follows a boy who is injured by a satellite accident and reawakens half a year later with strange powers. He eventually joins a secretive medical conglomerate to pilot its Linebarrel robot.
Director Masamitsu Hidaka (Pokémon, Juu Senshi Garukiba), series script supervisor Kiyoko Yoshimura (Chocolate Underground), and creative producer Gorō Taniguchi (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, My-HiME) are adapting Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi's "real battle action robot" manga. Hidaka brought the first episode to Anime Expo for its world premiere this past July.
