Midori Days' Inoue to Launch Undead Manga in Spirits
posted on by Egan Loo
This year's 33rd issue of Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits has announced on Monday that artist Kazurou Inoue (Midori's Days, Ai Kora) will launch a new manga called Undead in the 35th issue on July 28. As the title implies, the omnibus series' theme will be various stories on the undead instead of the quirky romantic comedies that have propelled his career in the past. However, the advertising promises that the series will have comedy in addition to "moving and heartrending" stories.
Inoue drew his Midori's Days manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine from 2002 to 2004, and Viz Media has published the entire series in North America. Media Blasters released the 2004 anime adaptation in English. Inoue ended Ai Kora (Love & Collage) in Weekly Shonen Sunday this past February after working on it for almost three years.
