Japanese Box Office, November 19-25: Always Back at #1

Always Zoku San-chōme no Yūhi (Always: Sunset on Third Street 2) returned to #1 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's top ten chart for the Japanese box office in the November 19–25 weekend. Despite three new films, Sunset on Third Street 2 earned the equivalent of US$2,699,354 (Box Office Mojo) this past weekend for a gross of US$26,525,927 to date. Director Takashi Yamazaki adapted Ryōhei Saigan's Sanchoume no Yuuhi - Yuuyake no Uta manga about life after World War II.
Crows Zero, Takashi Miike's prequel to Yukihiko Tsutsumi's Crows school brawl manga, stayed at #6 in its fifth week and earned US$1,034,082 over the weekend. It now has a total of US$19,613,619. Yes! Precure 5: Kagami no Kuni no Miracle Daibōken!, the anime movie spinoff from the Yes! Precure 5 magical girl television series, dropped from #5 to #7 in its third weekend. Its weekend total was US$804,406, with a gross-to-date total of US$4,873,187.
