posted on by Mikhail Koulikov
After being released simultaneously last week and immediately taking spots on USA Today's list of America's top 150 best-selling books, Naruto Volumes 16, 17 and 18 all improve their standings on the latest list. For the week from August 27 to September 2, volume 16, which entered the list at #131, climbs to #102. Volume 17, which last week held the #123 position, rises thirty spots in the ranking, to #93. However, it is volume 18 that posts the most impressive gain. It debuted at #116, and has now risen to #62. The highest position a Naruto volume ever achieved was #21, reached by volume 11 last year.
Negima! Magister Negi Magi Volume 15, a newcomer to the list, holds the #132 spot. It is the only other manga among this week's books, as Fruits Basket Volume 17 has dropped off the list after three weeks as a bestseller.
