Japanese Cartoonists' Association Award, Ministry of Culture and Science Achievement Certificate, Kodansha Manga Award
Three organizations handed out their annual manga awards yesterday:
35th Japanese Cartoonists' Association Award
Grand Prize (500,000 yen bonus):
- Red Snow by Susumu Katsumata
- Ryuuzan Aki Manga Correspondence by Ryuuzan Aki
Special Award (200,000 yen bonus):
- Document 2005 by In-Kyon Chon
- JAPON by a group of 16 Japanese and French authors
Ministry of Culture and Science Achievement Certificate:
- Machiko Satonaka
For Lifetime Works and Cultural Activities
30th Kodansha Manga Award
Children's manga: Kitchen no Ohime-sama by Natsumi Ando (orginal story by Miyuki Kobayashi)
Shounen manga: Air Gear by Oh! great!
Shoujo manga: Life by Keiko Suenobu
General manga : Mushishi by Yuki Urushibara
