Gainax Calls on Fans to Submit New Eva Character Design

New Character in Evangelion Cellular Phone Game to be Designed by a Fan
Gainax will produce the 2nd part of Neon Genesis Evangelion supplementary story: A Midsummer Night's Dream, an Evangelion game for cellular phones, and is running a contest to find the design for a new character who will appear in the game.
The new character will be a girl in the same class as Rei, Asuka and Shinji.
Contestants need not limit themselves to only submitting designs for the character's physical appearance and naming her, but can also devise her personality, the manner in which she speaks, and so on...
The contest guidelines (in Japanese) can be read here. There is no explicit statement saying that the contest is open only to Japanese residents.
