Anime Cosplay Contest at Wizard World
Trisha Sebastian of Wizard Entertainment and Anime Insider contacted us today to tell us that Wizard will be holding a Cosplay contest at Wizard World Chicago.
Wizard Entertainment runs 3 Comic & Genre conventions, Wizard World East in Philadelphia, Wizard World Chicago in Rosemont, and Wizard World Texas in Arlington.
This year, at Wizard World Chicago (August 8th-10th. Donald E. Stevens Convention Center (same location as Acen)), they will be holding their first ever cosplay competition.
While costuming is common-place at any Comic / Sci-fi convention and there will surely be many non-anime costumers at the convention, the cosplay contest will be open only to anime characters and properties, "We may have a little leeway for anime-themed video game characters like Final Fantasy. Basically, what goes on at a regular anime convention masquerade will be accepted here."
