Pioneer Press Release:
Pioneer Entertainment announced today that Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers, Cape Fear) will voice the character Naomi Armitage in Armitage: Dual-Matrix, the highly-anticipated sequel to the popular ARMITAGE Poly Matrix, which has sold over a 150,000 units on home video. Armitage: Dual-Matrix will be available on VHS and DVD in Spring 2002.
In ARMITAGE Poly Matrix, the prequel, Naomi Armitage Asakura, an illegally created android that is more human than anything ever made, meets Ross Sylibus while working at the Martian Police Department (MPD). Ross was transferred from the Chicago Police Department after a robot killed his partner. Attracted by their mutual desire to fight against the Martian Government because of its initiatives to terminate "Third Robots," Naomi and Ross become partners.
Directed by Katsuhito Akiyama and created and character designed by Hiroyuki Ochi, Armitage: Dual-Matrix takes place six years after the first film. Naomi and Ross have changed their names and live with their daughter Yoko as a normal happy family on Mars until a robot riot breaks out at an anti-matter plant on Earth and Armitage learns that the riot is a plot to suppress evidence of illegal research and development of "Third Robots."
While Colonel Strings basks in the glow of his new-found fame for quelling the riot at the plant, the anti-robot movement is growing more active. Armitage decides to go to Earth alone to find out who is behind this plot, but what she discovers is the most powerful enemies she has yet encountered…replicas of herself.
