"Psychic" sues Pokemon over name

An Israeli born "psychic" by the name of Uri Geller has filed a lawsuit against Nintendo of America over the name of one of the Pokémon Characters.

Mr. Geller claims that by creating a character for the series named Yun Geller, a Pocket Monster that holds a spoon and employs psychic powers to induce headaches in his victims Nintendo has debased Mr. Gellers name. In addition to the similarity in their names and psychic powers, Mr Geller claims that Nintendo further damages his image in a significant way by portraying a character named after him as a Villain. So significantly in fact that Mr. Geller is seeking hundreds of millions of dollars from Nintendo in the lawsuit he filed on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles.

Nintendo claims that Yun Geller, as with all of their characters, is an entirely fictional character, not based on any real person, living or otherwise.
