Excite News is carrying an article by, Colarado State University student, Sara Reed, entitled Japanese anime takes America by storm which was originally publiched in Rocky Mountain Collegian, a CSU newspaper.
The article, aimed at those who are not deeply knowledgeable of anime, identifie popular TV shows (Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon) as Japanese Animation and continues to discuss Anime's history in America ("What many people don't know is that Japanese animation has had a presence in America for more than 30 years") as well as discuss the differences between Anime and American programs.
The article also points to fan-subbing as one of the elements hurting the sales and rentals of Anime.
