Nintendo to open Pokemon Centers worldwide

Nintendo has announced plans to open branches of its famous Pokémon Center in more than ten major cities around the world starting in 2001.
The two existing Pokémon Centers, located in Tokyo and Japan, are merchandicing centers which exclusively sell Pokémon merchandise. Over 1600 different Pokémon items are currently available.
The 10 additional stores, including ones in New York and London, are expected to be nearly identical to the original two.
Nintendo is also aiming to simultaneously launch a web-based version of the Pokémon Center, selling Pokémon related items online.
