Media Blasters at Katsucon 6 this weekend announced their plans for the impending release of Rurouni Kenshin to North America. They announced that they they are unlikely to produce any subtitled tapes of Rurouni Kenshin due to an unlikely return on investment, but they have not ruled this out. Media Blasters also announced that they plan to release DVD's of the series the same day as the dubbed VHS tapes. You will only be able to see a subtitled version of the series on DVD, and they will be released 8 episodes a month.
A.D. Vision also announced that the Rurouni Kenshin OAV series DVD's will not be released the same day as VHS. Subtitled and dubbed tapes of the series will be released the same day sometime later this summer.
