Pioneer & Intersound to release anime music videos
posted on
In a press release dated March 19, Pioneer, in association with Intersound/Platnum Records has announced the creation of the "Animetronic" DVD/VHS and CD Soundtrack release. Intersound, a leading electronic music label, will handle A&R responsibilities, and will then hand each track over to Pioneer, where anime footage will be edited to the music.
Among the musical contributors will be Grammy-nominee Daisuke Hinata of Hyperdisc.
Pioneer USA will release the special on DVD and VHS, with the DVD version having a special alternate angle clip (featuring different video for the same song) as well as a Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. Artist interviews, trailer footage, and production notes round out the package. Intersound/Platinum will release the CD soundtrack. Both will supply funds towards marketing and promotional efforts, which include a tie-in with MTV's Road Rules.
In other Pioneer news, they have started carrying the imported Serial Experiments Lain soundtrack, and have also delayed the Tenchi Muyo! DVD box until April 13.
