Warner goes for Pokemon movies
posted on
The incredible Pokémon craze is heating up even more! Hollywood Reporter and Daily Variety both report today that Warner Bros. is trying to get worldwide rights for the two Pokémon theatrical movies, "Pikachu's Summer Vacation" and "Mewtwo Strikes Back." Warner Bros. is counting on a quick licensing process so that Norman Grossfeld and 4Kids Entertainment can begin work on the dubbed version.
It is believed that the goal is to get the Pokémon movies in theaters by August or September, to coordinate with the new Kids WB television lineup, which will show the TV series 6 times a week.
