The Pet Girl of Sakurasou light novel illustrator Keeji Mizoguchi posted an image to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the series on Sunday. He wrote: "In October 10, I accepted the request to work on character designs, and in January the next year, the first volume was published. Congratulations to The Pet Girl of Sakurasou for its 10th anniversary, and thank you so much! It's been 10 years since I accepted the request to draw the insert illustrations and paired up with this author. Here's hoping for another 10 years!"

Hajime Kamoshida launched the light novel series with Mizoguchi's illustrations in 2010, and it ended in 2013. The series inspired a 24-episode television anime series in 2012. Kamoshida and Mizoguchi also teamed up for the Seishun Buta Yarō light novel series, which Dengeki Bunko launched in April 2014. The series inspired a 2018 TV anime series Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai and a 2019 movie Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl.
Mizoguchi also draws the illustrations for Yukiya Murasaki's 14-Sai to Illustrator (14-year-old and Illustrator) light novel series, which first launched in November 2016.
