Dr. Stone Releases DIY Science Experiments Book

posted on by Kim Morrissy
Book of simple science experiments released on Friday

Ever wanted to try replicating some of the science experiments shown in Dr. Stone? The series released a mini-book on Friday called "Dr. Stone no Saikyō Jiyū Kenkyū" (Dr. Stone's Ultimate Independent Research), which goes through the steps on how to make balloons out of garbage bag, how to make a telescope out of a magnifying glass, how to make cola out of coriander and lime, among other things.

According to the book's description, the shortest experiments take only 30 minutes, while the longest ones take up to a day. The steps are simple and require easy-to-access resources, making them compatible with Japanese elementary school summer research projects.

Riichirou Inagaki and Boichi's Dr. Stone manga takes place after humanity was petrified by a flash of light. Thousands of years pass before high school boy Taiju awakens among the statuesque remnants of civilization. His friend Senku has also returned to life and promises to bring mankind back to its former glory with the power of science. The anime debuted July 5.
