posted on by Kim Morrissy
The Monster Hunter game series released a recipe book on March 30. The book is titled "Monster Hunter Meal Recipe Book" (Monhan Meshi Recipe Book), and features 29 recipes, from the iconic roast on a bone to the Chef's Choice Platter. The following five categories are represented: meat, fish, vegetables, rice, and dessert.
The book is published in Japanese by Wani Books and will cost 1,620 yen (US$14.50). The recipes are supervised by Pasela Resorts, which also runs the official Monster Hunter-themed Hunter's Bar in Shinjuku.
Eager for more Monster Hunter food? Confectionery maker Juccheim recreated the roasts as baumkuchen cakes, which went on sale on March 27.
Monster Hunter: World launched worldwide on PlayStation 4 and XBox One on January 26, 2018 and shipped 5 million copies worldwide (including digital sales) in its first three days to set a new franchise record. The game will get an expansion titled Monster Hunter World: Iceborne in fall 2019. The expansion will feature a new story that begins after the events of the main game, as well as new quest ranks, locales, monsters, moves, and equipment.
