Tokyo One Piece Tower Theme Park's Summer Festival Returns
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The official One Piece portal site revealed details of this year's "Tokyo Pirates Festival" and posted a visual on Monday. The event will run at the Tokyo One Piece Tower theme park from July 14 to September 14.
The theme of the event is traditional Japanese summer festivals, and the visual features One Piece characters in yukata, which many people wear to festivals. Special merchandise featuring the characters in the event visual will be available for purchase. A game stall will let participants recover firework gunpowder that Buggy stole. The Straw Hat Pirates and other characters will also appear for greetings and mingle with guests.
Tokyo One Piece Tower opened in 2015, and in its story, Tokyo Tower is a triangle-shaped island called "Tongari Jima" (Chestnut Island). Last year's "Tokyo Pirates Festival" marked The One Piece franchise's 20th anniversary.
