1st Shonen Jump Exhibition's Display Line-up Announced

Further details on this summer's "Weekly Shonen Jump Exhibition" event announced the full line-up of series and creators scheduled to be on display. Next year marks the 50th anniversary of Weekly Shonen Jump, Shueisha's male-targeted magazine known for serializing some of the industry's most popular manga series. Artwork spanning the magazine's launch to the 1980s will go on display on July 18 and run until October 15 at the Tokyo Mori Arts Center Gallery.
Some of the works include:
- Otoko Ippiki Gaki Daisho by Hiroshi Motomiya
- Saint Seiya by Masami Kurumada
- Fist of the North Star by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara
- Kinnikuman by Yudetamago
- Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama
- Kochikame by Osamu Akimoto
- JoJo's Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki
- Captain Tsubasa by Youichi Takahashi
- Cobra by Buichi Terasawa
- City Hunter by Tsukasa Hōjō
- Sakigake!! Otoko Juku by Akira Miyashita
- Rokudenashi Blues by Masanori Morita
A total of 63 works are planned for the exhibition. Visitors can get a Shonen Jump cover sticker, which, like the name implies, is a sticker featuring a cover of the magazine. Advance tickets will also feature the magazine cover images and go on sale on May 13. A pin set of the cover images will also go on sale.
The exhibition will have three parts. The second part will open next spring and focus on the magazine's surge in the 1990s followed by the third part next summer covering the 2000s.
