After teasing silhouettes earlier this month, M's Factory revealed its Yuri!!! on Ice Japanese futon covers on Wednesday. The polyester covers with special illustrations of Yūri, Victor, and Yuri are available for pre-order now.
If unexpected visitors arrive, people can flip the covers over to the plain white back and conceal the risqué ice skaters. Each futon cover costs 9,000 yen (about US$80), and they are slated to ship at the end of May. M's Factory is also releasing similar pillow covers.
The character calendar maker Hagoromo also unveiled the cover for its upcoming Yuri!!! on Ice calendar on Wednesday. Like most calendars, this anime-themed calendar will note Japanese national holidays. However, Hagoromo cautioned that the months and days of the week will be written in Russian, presumably to make it easier for Victor to use the calendar.
The school calendar will cover the dates of the upcoming Japanese school year: April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018. The calendar is available for pre-order now for 1,620 yen (US$14), and the regular sales period will begin in the middle of March.
Additionally, The Asahi Shimbun newspaper's Saga branch tweeted on Wednesday to alert Yuri!!! on Ice fans that the February 22 issue of the Nikkan Sports newspaper featured a collaborative illustration. All Wednesday issues of the paper sold in the Kyushu area, with the exception of Okinawa, featured a collaborative illustration for the Sagan Tosu soccer team. The anime's three main characters cheer on the team in the illustrastion.
The soccer team is based in Tosu, Saga Prefecture, and the city of Karatsu, Saga Prefecture served as the main setting for the Yuri!!! on Ice television anime. Fans not lucky enough to live in the area can order the newspaper issue with the special illustration through Nikkan Sports' back number service.
The trio of skaters will wear different, animal-themed collaboration outfits for a department store promotion in March.
