Sanrio's Kirimi-chan Shows Some Skin in 'Virgin-Killing Sweater'

The "virgin-killing sweater" trend has taken over pixiv and attracted commentary from voice actor Takuya Eguchi. While Eguchi suggests a real killing device, Sanrio sent over its fishy popstar Kirimi-chan to give the outfit a try. The mascot character shows a little more skin the usual, giving Gudetama's butt a run for its money.

Sanrio debuted the original Kirimi-chan. character in February 2014, after it garnered popularity in Sanrio's edible character voting competition the year before. Sanrio has since begun selling character goods based on the character. The mascot has also appeared in cross-promotions for games such as Monster Hunter X and Sanrio's own Sanrio Characters Fantasy Theater.

Eguchi crossed paths with Kirimi-chan in the past, going so far as to draw the character some questionable fan art. The voice actor is also a part of Sanrio's Sanrio Danshi multimedia project and voices Kōta Hasegawa, a high school boy that loves Pom Pom Purin.
