Actor Satoshi Matsuda helped assist the capture of a man who had allegedly been attempting to secretly take upskirt photos of Matsuda's wife.
According to Kyoto Prefectural Police's Uji station, Matsuda and his wife were shopping at a store in the town of Kumiyama on Wednesday when the man allegedly made his attempt. The 35-year-old man reportedly fled, but Matsuda chased him down, caught him, and handed him over to police. According to police, Matsuda was visiting Kyoto with his wife for filming.
Police apprehended the man for violating the Prefectural Anti-Nuisance Ordinance, and stated the man admitted to the crime.
Matsuda, 37, is perhaps most famous for playing the character of Ren Akiyama (also known as Kamen Rider Knight) in the Kamen Rider Ryuki live-action television show. He has also acted in the live-action Densha Otoko film, as well as the live-action adaptations of Drops of God and Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit.
