The official Twitter account for the Yuri!!! on Ice television anime announced on Sunday that Victor's dog-shaped tissue case is heading to the real world. In the anime, figure skater Victor appears rink-side with a brown tissue box case inspired by his own poodle named Makkachin.
The real Makkachin tissue cases will be made of fluffy "poodle boa" fabric and retail for 3,400 yen (about US$30). Avex Pictures plans to release the canine cases at the end of January. The anime's Twitter will unveil a sample case and more details in the future.
Fans of the ice-skating anime can also smell like a skater, hug character cushions and figures, and sport their own Yuri Tiger sweatshirts.
The anime premiered in Japan on October 6, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs. Funimation announced the main cast for its English dub of the series last month.
