Meat-Loving Zeushi-kun Gets Brand New Animated Short
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Japan's National Federation of Agricultural Co-operative Associations' meat-loving mascot "Zeushi-kun" will get a new animated short on February 10. The previous ads' stars will return to reprise their roles.
"Zeushi-kun" is a character created by ZEN-NOH, Japan's National Federation of Agricultural Co-operative Associations, to promote the sale of domestic meats. Zeushi-kun (Kana Hanazawa) is a prince that lives in Nikuniku Land above the clouds and loves meat. He lives with Mika's family (Maaya Uchida) and discovers the different kinds of delicious foods.
The character starred in two series of animated advertisements. The character premiered on Fuji TV in 2014 followed by a second series of ads that year in November. You can watch all the shorts on the official YouTube channel, including its take on meat-centric idols.
