Attack on Titan and Subaru Together Again for Test Drive Campaign
posted on by Carlos Cadorniga
The upcoming live-action adaptation of Attack on Titan is seeing further publicity in Japan through another collaboration with automobile manufacturer Subaru.
New Subaru models are being offered for test driving on the weekends of May 23 and May 30 as part of the "Gigantic Campaign".
Anyone who participates in the test drive has the opportunity to win various prizes. For example, two versions of a toy Subaru Levorg car decked out with stylish Attack on Titan decals are being offered. One depicts a menacing Colossal Titan reaching forward; another shows off an angled insignia of the Survey Corps, the human battalion charged with defeating Titans outside the city walls. A regular image of the insignia can be seen on the roofs of the toys. Either car comes with a special display stand that shows the Colossal Titan looming over it and a small map for the minicar to traverse.
The bigger prize, however, is the authentic Survey Corps uniform, complete with a jacket, boots, inner wear and even a life-sized set of 3D maneuver gear. This fabulous prize is being offered to only one lucky participant. One hundred other participants will receive a special t-shirt with an "Attack on Titan x Subaru" design.
This marks the second time that the car company has collaborated with Attack on Titan. In 2014, Titans could be seen relentlessly chasing after a Subaru Forester in a car commercial aired in Japan.
The Attack on Titan live-action movie opens in Japan on August 1 followed by Attack on Titan: End of the World on September 19.
