Manga Artist Turns Sushi Toppings into Cute Girls
posted on by Eric Stimson
In the latest manifestation of the moe anthropomorphization craze, manga artist Harikamo (Yorumori no Kuni no Sora ni, Urara Meirochō), is posting drawings on Twitter of common sushi rolls represented as cute girls.
Shrimp
Egg
Salmon roe
You can check out more of Harikamo's art at his Twitter or Pixiv accounts.
Visual novel developer Koyonplete had a similar idea last year when it released its Love! Sushi Rangers game. The mobile visual novel turned tuna, shrimp, roe, and other freshly sliced marine (and egg) life into handsome men.
Over the years, anything and everything has been drawn as a cute girl, from Windows operating systems to Christian denominations. Some things, like swords, have instead been turned into cute guys.
