Babymetal Idol Group's World Tour Begins After 20,000 Fans Rocked Out in Saitama

The Japanese idol group Babymetal, the "hardcore" spin on Japanese idol culture, are about to kick-off of their 2015 world tour. The three idols, Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-Metal), Moa Kikuchi (Moametal), and Yui Mizono (Yuimetal), opened for part of Lady Gaga's ArtRAVE tour across the United States last year but are now superstars in their own right.
The idols are traveling with Dragonforce guitarists Sam Totman and Herman Li. The group performed in front of a sold-out crowd of 20,000 at the Saitama Super Arena on January 10.
BABYMETAL is leaving Japan for a series of international shows starting this month, with stops in Mexico, Canada, the U.S. and Europe. Their tour dates include:
