posted on by Bamboo Dong
Ayako Ishikawa, an acclaimed violinist who has performed sold-out concerts worldwide and recorded multiple albums, doesn't just play classical music. She's also dazzled music enthusiasts everywhere with her renditions of pop tunes, video game and anime theme songs, and even Vocaloid music.
Recently, she recorded herself playing "To Zanarkand" from the Final Fantasy X soundtrack, and it's breath-taking:
For those who have never seen it, here is her chilling performance of the theme from Laputa: Castle in the Sky.
And her recording of supercell's "Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari," which was used as the ending theme for the Bakemonogatari anime.
And of course, Frozen's "Let It Go":
Those eager to meet Ishikawa in person will have the chance in July and August; she'll be hosting a one fan meeting on July 19 in Tokyo, and two fan meetings on August 26 and 27 in Nagoya and Osaka, respectively.
