Fans Already Scouting 'Holy Site' Locales for P.A. Works' Next Anime
posted on by Chris Nishijima
P.A. Works' new upcoming anime GLASSLIP has been the subject of a "Holy Site" discovery discussion going on over Twitter in Japan. Though the series has not begun yet, fans have already begun comparing several locations from the anime's PV, posted earlier this week, to a number of real life locations in Mikuni, a town in the Fukui Prefecture's city of Sakai.
While the anime series was already known to take place in the Fukui Prefecture, the exact location was unknown previously. The PV features an overhead shot of an area similar to Mikuni, as well as a building that bears a striking resemblance to the town's cultural history museum. Fans have also noted a coastal stretch similar to the one featured in the promotional art released when the series was announced.
GLASSLIP is scheduled to begin airing sometime this upcoming July. The original work tells the story of Tohko Fukami, a 17 year old girl who aspires to become a glass artisan. For more information on the show, visit the series's official website.
