posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The official website for the Monogatari Series Second Season anime announced on Thursday that singer Marina Kawano will contribute the ending theme or themes for the Otorimonogatari and Onimonogatari segments of the series. The anime's composer Satoru Kousaki (monaca) is producing the new music, and a CD with the music will be released on October 9.
Kawano previously performed the ending theme "Kieru Daydream" for the Nekomonogatari (Black) series, as well as theme songs for A-Channel and Natsume's Book of Friends.
The Monogatari Series Second Season television anime is covering most of the Second Season arc — Nekomogatari (White), Kabukimonogatari, Otorimonogatari, Onimonogatari, and Koimonogatari — in NisiOisin's original novel series in two cours (two quarters of the year). After the current broadcast ends, the Hanamonogatari segment will be presented separately.
The show premiered in Japan on July 6. Streaming services Crunchyroll and Daisuki are streaming the series as it airs in Japan. Aniplex of America announced last month that it is releasing both Nekomonogatari (Black) and Monogatari Series Second Season.
