Toriko: Gourmega Battle! 3DS Game's 'Starjun Episode' TV Spot Streamed

Namco Bandai Games began streaming a TV spot for its Toriko: Gourmega Battle! Nintendo 3DS game on Sunday. The first 15 seconds of the ad is the same "Toriko Episode" ad that Namco Bandai Games streamed last week. The second half of the ad features narration by the character Starjun (voiced by Shinichirō Miki).

In the four-person fighting action game, the "Four Heavenly King" Bishoku-ya (Toriko himself, Coco, Sunny, and Zebra) will be playable characters. Players can eat even in the midst of battle, and as players eat ingredients, they will gain energy on a calorie gauge. Players can then use those calories to perform "certain kill" techniques. More than 45 characters from the manga will appear in the game, which has more than 25 battle stages.

Namco Bandai Games has previously released other Toriko games: Toriko Gourmet Survival and Toriko Gourmet Survival 2 for the PlayStation Portable, and Toriko Gourmet Monsters! for the Nintendo 3DS.

Toriko: Gourmega Battle! will ship on July 4. The first copies of the game will come with an original card for the Toriko Bakugari Jungourmet!! game.
