Nintendo Confirms Pokémon Rumble U Wii U Ware
posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Nintendo confirmed its first Pokémon video game for the Wii U on Friday titled Pokémon Scramble U. The game is a successor to the 2009 Ransen! Pokémon Scramble (known as Pokémon Rumble in the US and Europe) Wii Ware game, and the 2011 Super Pokémon Scramble (known as Pokémon Rumble Blast in the US and Europe) 3DS game.
In the Wii U game, players are able to control many toy-like Pokémon to battle; at times, players will be able to control 100 in battles. The game will allow players to choose from the complete roster of 649 Pokémon from generations I to V. When players approach capsules that enemy Pokémon drop after defeat, they are able to catch the Pokémon inside and add it to their list of friends. In multiplayer mode, up to four players can play together. Different modes of multiplayer include teaming up with a friend, or fighting to defeat the largest amount of the other player's Pokémon.
Gamer has posted multiple screenshots for the game.
The game will be released as a downloadable title for the Wii U in Japan sometime this spring.
