Sega revises RPG's terms of use; official English release slated for 2013
Sega's Phantasy Star Online 2 admin team members announced on Wednesday that they revised the terms of use for the role-playing game. As of Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Japan Time, Sega is specifically prohibiting users from directly or indirectly connecting to the Japanese servers from outside Japan. The terms of use do not indicate how Sega will enforce this rule.
The game launched on Microsoft Windows in Japan on July 4. An iOS and Android smartphone version will follow in Japan this winter, with the PS Vita version slated for next spring. Sega confirmed on July 9 that it will officially release the game in English next year.
