Light novel illustrator celebrates on 7/7, day of Tanabata festival for star-crossed lovers
Reine Hibiki, the illustrator of the original Maria Watches Over Us (Maria-sama ga Miteru) light novel series, announced on Saturday that she got married. Saturday is not only one of the dates that Tanabata — the Japanese festival for star-crossed lovers — is celebrated, but also a marriage date chosen by couples for its symbolism (July 7 or 7/7).
