Galaxy Express 999 (manga 2/1996)
Alternative title:
Ginga Tetsudō 999 (Japanese)
銀河鉄道999 (Japanese)
Vintage:
1996 (serialized in Big Gold)
1999 (serialized in Big Comic irregularly)
Comment:
Unofficially called Eternal-hen ("Eternal chapters") to distinguish it from the original series between 1977–81 (called Andromeda-hen), the new series was first serialized in Shogakukan's Big Gold magazine, later moved to Big Comic and web after the former ceased publication. This Eternal-hen is available from Shogakukan (tankōbon volumes 15 and beyond) and Shonengahosha (bunkobon volumes 13–18), as well as five English volumes from Viz.
