Is based of the Datingsim game(Eroge) of the same name.

Right before the day that the final episode of School Days was scheduled to be aired, a sixteen year old girl killed her father with an ax in Kyoto. In response, various TV stations replaced the 12th and final episode, which was known to contain similar violence with half an hour of scenery and classical music to avoid association with the murder. Only two TV stations are still deciding weather to air the 12th episode or not.

Near the room of Makoto is a gas station with a logotype ("Nobil") that looks like "Mobil", including the red "o". (J_S)

If you notice, all main characters and some secondary ones share their respective surnames with those of previos Prime ministers of Japan and Imperial Court Members

The phrase "nice boat" is highly associated with this anime. When the 12th episode was censored (for the murder girl incident), it was replaced on tv with 'relaxing' images, and a person of 4chan took a picture shown of a ferry on a landscape and labeled it "Nice Boat". That phrase becomed highly popular as a meme for this anime, as you can tell on the ova "Magical Heart Kokoro-chan" when Kokoro rescue the girls on a boat with the label "Nice Boat".

Since the main character has unfortunately taken the wrong path in the series, there was a game of the series had the 21 ends, and an end, he seemed to really do anything "two lovers". He had had a threesome!
