Trivia:

Death and Rebirth is divided into 2 segments. Death consists of clips from the main series while Rebirth is the first half hour of The End of Evangelion.

However the second disc contains a 'Mujiko' archive which you can use whilst you are watching. it gives info on the series

The North American DVD and VHS releases from Manga Entertainment used the footage from Episode 25' (Air) from The End of Evangelion for the Rebirth portion of Death & Rebirth rather than the actual Rebirth footage from the Japanese releases. The reason behind this is unknown.
