Trivia:

Atlas's "redesign" from his 1980 counterpart is actually based on his earlier, original style.

The character Kato, who appears first in episode 8, "Neon Express," is an adaptation of the title character of Rainbow Parakeet (Nanairo Inko), another classic Tezuka manga, created in 1981. In the original Rainbow Parakeet is an actor and master-thief. The original manga is in print in French.
