Rurouni Kenshin - ep. 16 & 17

Rurouni Kenshin, Episode 16: A Promise from the Heart.
1) Scene of Toma slicing the wings off of a bat in flight cut.
This is quite the contrast from the previous episode.
Rurouni Kenshin, Episode 17: Fly to your Dreams
1) Title screen changed to picture of Megumi.
2) Blood digitally reduced when Sumidaiya knife thrower cuts her finger to test her blade.
3) Scene of Kaoru's knife barely missing Sanosuke's head and Sanosuke's bleeding as a result cut.
Considering the piddling amounts of blood in this episode and it's comedic nature, the time and expense given to the blood edits seem like such a waste.
And did anyone else notice Gotou Keiichi and Kanuka Clancy sitting behind Kenshin and company in the circus?
