The official website for the television anime of Tadataka Kawasaki's Chio's School Road (Chio-chan no Tsūgakuro) manga unveiled information on the show's home video releases on Friday. The website lists two home video releases, each with six episodes, for a total of 12 episodes.
The show will premiere on Tokyo MX on July 6 at 10:00 p.m., before airing later that evening on Gifu Broadcasting, Mie TV, and Sun TV. The show will later air on KBS Kyoto and BS11. The show will stream in Japan on Docomo's d Anime Store and AbemaTV services. Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs and Funimation will stream an English dub.
The "dramatic extreme going to school comedy" manga follows the titular female high school student Chio Miyamo, and her adventures to commute to school every day. Chio runs into problems both big and small, such as construction, a biker gang, a sudden urge to use the bathroom, and more.
Takayuki Inagaki (Rosario + Vampire, First Love Monster) is directing the anime at diomedéa and supervising the series scripts. Mayuko Matsumoto (Kan Colle, Gingitsune, Handa-kun) is designing the characters.
