Silver Spoon Manga Gets Another New Chapter on May 30
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
This year's 26th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine (seen right) revealed on Wednesday that Hiromu Arakawa's Silver Spoon manga will continue with a new chapter in the magazine's next issue on May 30. This week's issue also published a new chapter of the manga, the first since the manga returned to being on hiatus on July 26.
The magazine did not indicate that the manga is returning to regular serialization.
The series centers on Yūgo Hachiken, as well as the cast of characters that surround him when he decides to attend an agricultural high school in the countryside. Yūgo's decision to attend an agricultural school is influenced in part by disagreements with his parents, but when he gets to school, he finds himself not used to the realities of a life of farming, agriculture, and animal husbandry. To keep up with his classmates, he finds that he needs to adapt, learning to respect the knowledge of everybody around him.
The manga's 14th and most recent compiled book volume shipped in Japan on August 18. The 13th compiled volume revealed in June 2015 that the climax of the manga's story will be "imminent," though the series has taken several hiatuses since then.
