FLCL 2 & 3 Films Unveils Visual by Designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto

The official Japanese website for the FLCL 2 and FLCL 3 sequel film projects revealed a new visual for the films on Friday. Original character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto drew the visual.
In addition, the webiste revealed that tickets for the two films will be offered in advance during the AnimeJapan 2018 event on March 24 and 25. The tickets will have exclusive art. A limited number of the tickets will come in a "FLCL Freak Set" with a clear file of Sadamoto's above visual, as well as a guitar pick keychain and a bonus "Access All Planets Pass" sticker (designed in the style of a concert Staff Pass). The same set will be available with the bonus at the TOHO animation Store, starting on March 30.
The first film set to open in Japan in 2018. The films will have completely separate stories, but will be a sequel to the 2000-2001 original video anime.
The anime is still slated as two six-episode television series in the U.S.
FLCL 2 will also have a manga adaptation.
